Please note that the application process for 2011/12 is now closed. The application process for the 2012/13 academic year will re-open in September.
Eligibility; Scholarships will be awarded to students from the following regions: Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia, the Caucuses, Middle East and North Africa (Please click here for a comprehensive list of countries), to support any postgraduate course of study at the University of Oxford that is in line with the career objectives of the applicant and that supports their ambitions of contributing, in a leadership position, to the public life of their country or region of origin.
In addition a small number of places will be available to students from the United States.
Application Process; Weidenfeld Scholars are selected for their intellectual distinction and exceptional leadership potential, having undergone a rigorous application process, which culminates in interviews before an international selection committee in Oxford late April. As with other Oxford Scholarships, Weidenfeld Scholarship candidates must first be accepted by their academic department at Oxford before being considered for the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme.
In addition, our FAQs will answer the most common queries concerning the application process to the Scholarship. Please read thoroughly before contacting Oxford University or the Institute.
