Media

This area of work aims to promote a dynamic and ongoing exchange between media professionals on the challenges facing the sector and on the impact news reporting can have on public perceptions, community harmony and international relations. With the ever-expanding global reach of traditional and new media and with an ever-growing need for mutual understanding in a globalised world, the projects in this area operate in a variety of contexts including Europe-China relations and the perception and production of media in minority communities in Europe.

This area of work contains the following projects and initiatives:

ISD has launched a Europe-China Media Exchange initiative, aimed at creating opportunities for senior journalists from Europe and China to gain an informed insight into each other’s societies

Muslims in the European Mediascape
