'Fireside Chat' with Baroness Ashton, the EU High Representative

Held at ISD’s offices, Catherine Ashton, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, met key figures from across Europe’s business, finance, media and policy sectors to discuss the Union’s strategic, foreign, and neighbourhood policy priorities. Topics addressed included the recent negotiations between the E3 + 3 and Iran, the establishment of the EEAS and the EU’s institutional and geo-strategic relationship with its wider neighbourhood. It is hoped the dinner will represent the first of a series of sessions on Europe’s post-Lisbon foreign policy capabilities.
